What is Carbon Heroes?

This isn't just
a climate class.

Carbon Heroes is a structured climate learning journey that helps children and families understand climate change through something deeply personal: our health.

Climate change is no longer a distant future concern. It affects the air we breathe, the temperatures we experience, the safety of outdoor play, the quality of our environment and the world today's children will inherit. For families in Dubai and the UAE, these changes are already part of everyday life.

  • Heat.
  • Dust.
  • Air quality.
  • Humidity.
  • UV exposure.
  • Water.

Carbon Heroes turns those challenges into curiosity, understanding and action.

Look closer

Why this programme exists

The future isn't
something we wait for.
It's something we shape.

Children are growing up in a world where climate change is becoming impossible to ignore. Carbon Heroes exists to help them understand that world without fear.

The programme is built around three ideas.

  • Curiosity over fear

Questions open the world. We start with wonder, not warnings.

  • Understanding over alarm

Real science, explained clearly, at a pace a family can follow.

  • Action over anxiety

Every session ends with something a child can actually do.

Why climate + health?

Climate change
is also a health story.

  • 01Panel

    Heat

How rising temperatures affect the body — and what the body tells us.

  • 02Panel

Local context

Why does this
matter in
the UAE?

For families in the UAE, climate change isn't abstract.

It's the heat that changes when children play outside. It's the dust and air quality that families notice. It's the importance of hydration and UV protection. It's the changing relationship between our cities, our environment and our health.

This programme brings global climate science into a local context.
